Top Vacation Destinations

At Mirai, we love collecting data. It's at the core of keeping our customers flying around the world without breaking the bank. So, of course, we had to sneak a peek at where our clients book charter flights most often!

If you're undecided about where to spend your spring break this year, let us give you the scoop on the most popular spring flight destinations for our private jet charters. Trust us; we've crunched the numbers!

  1. Chambery

Chambery is the largest city in the Alps region, and it's incredibly popular with skiers. Located in the picturesque Auvergne-Rhone-Alps region of eastern France, it's an ideal destination to take a private charter because it lands you right in the heart of the French Alps.

Popular ski regions such as the Alpe d'Huez, Chamonix, La Plagne and Val d'Isere are all less than three hours away from Chambery. Even better, there is a long list of gorgeous ski resorts less than two hours away from the Chambery airport.

Even if you're not a fan of skiing, it's the perfect place to try a new winter sport or simply enjoy the social apres-ski scene. Skiing enthusiasts should book a visit before the season ends in April.

  1. Nice

Nice is the type of vacation destination that has it all. Whether you're looking for long, leisurely walks on scenic beaches, delicious local fare or breathtaking views, Nice is the place to be, and it’s only a single individual business jet flight away.

Nice is also a short jaunt away from the renowned Cannes International Film Festival. In fact, you can hop on a train at any time and arrive in Cannes in just over 20 minutes! The city is just as glamorous and packed with excitement as Nice, so flying into Nice is the perfect way to start your French vacation.

Through April 30, 2022, the Musee Matisse will be hosting a special exhibition of 16 paintings from the famous David and Ezra Nahmad collection as well.

This limited release will showcase some of the more famous works, such as La Leçon de piano and beautiful but lesser-known paintings like Figure assize et le torse grec.

So, whether you love art, scenery, nightlife or adventure, you can't go wrong with Nice!

  1. Pisa

Italy is another popular destination for our customers who are looking to enjoy the beauty of spring. Pisa is home to some of the most beautiful architecture in the world. Some of these structures, such as the colossal Piazza del Duomo, are included in the UNESCO World Heritage list.

Pisa also hosts a fantastic jazz series every spring. The series runs from February to June, and each event showcases the talents of various jazz performers in famous venues of the region.

  1. London

London is an iconic vacation destination for many reasons, and it is a perennial favorite among our clients. No matter what kind of vacation you want to have, London is an excellent choice.

The city is rich in history and architecture, so it's perfect for sightseeing and visiting the famous tourist spots. However, London also has many hidden gems in the form of delicious local restaurants, world-class beer and wine, and outstanding arts performances.

For example, the Glyndebourne Opera Festival is an unmissable program that runs from May 21 through August 28, 2022. These performances are breathtaking and one-of-a-kind.

If you love celebrating St. Patrick's Day, there are few places better than London to let loose and enjoy the holiday. The city hosts a spectacular, unforgettable St. Patrick's Day parade every year, and there is a full schedule of free performances in Trafalgar Square throughout the day.

Visitors and locals alike come together to share delicious Irish fare (and a few pints of Guinness, of course!), and the entire town comes alive with the celebration.

  1. Paris

Of course, we can't mention the best spring vacation destinations without Paris. Springtime in Paris is relatively quiet as far as tourism goes, making it ideal for an intimate, laid-back trip. You can freely wander the halls of the Louvre, Versailles and Musee Rodin.

If you visit in May, you can even catch the gorgeous Night of Museums, which kicks off the start of the summer season.

There is plenty to see and do in Paris. By April, all of the fountains are open and operating, and the city also hosts its world-famous fashion weeks throughout the year.

  1. Geneva

It may surprise some to see Geneva on this list of crowd favorites. After all, the city is not known for its flashy nightlife or vibrant tourist spots. However, the region has a more subtle charm that we (and our clients) find just as attractive as Paris or Nice.

Geneva is home to some of the best food in the world, and its scenery is stunning. Just picture strolling around Lake Geneva and spending the day sampling local dishes such as spiced cheese fondue, fresh perch filets, top-tier wines and, of course, legendary Swiss chocolate.

The more adventurous at heart will be pleased to know that they can choose to view the Geneva landscapes from the sky as they paraglide from Mont-Saleve. Finish your adventurous vacation with a trip to the thermal springs to relax and unwind.

  1. Turkey

Places like Bodrum and Antalya are ideal destinations for anyone looking to lounge on a glamorous, gorgeous beach and stay in a world-class hotel. Visitors love staying in Antalya because of its crystal-clear seas and pristine beaches. If you've ever wanted to know what it felt like to be a celebrity, vacationing on the Turkish beachfront is something to add to your bucket list.

Visiting Turkey is more affordable than ever when you let Mirai Flights handle finding an empty leg flight for you to hop aboard!
